April 29, 2000:- NCB Angel Harps will tonight bring down the curtains on their Reunion 2000 celebrations with a Cocktail and presentation of Awards at the Grenada Beach Resort, Grand Anse.
Speaking on the Reunion, Manager of the band, Carlyle Roberts said he was very satisfied with the success of the Week of Activities. Starting with the Church Service on Easter Sunday, he said that all the activities were well supported and thanked members, supporters and the general public for making the Reunion a success.
Roberts said that the Reunion had brought the Angel Harps family much closer together, much more aware of the situation with the band and had established the framework for extended participation by past members and the formation of an Angel Harps Support Group in New York.
Michael Archibald, General Manager of NCB, sponsors of Angel Harps since 1982 (a record for continuous sponsorship by a single corporate entity) said that he too was also very pleased with the week's activities and the professional manner with which the Reunion was organised.
A number of people played critical roles in ensuring that the event came off successfully and it would not be possible to mention everyone. However, special mention must me made of David Seales, Gerry Tamar, Finbar Linton in Grenada and Clevoy Depradine and Rawle Steel in New York whose commitment to make this a successful week ensured the final success.
